Wellpoint turns 10!

Wellpoint Acupuncture celebrated its 10th anniversary with a drinks party at the beautiful gardens of Stephens House last June 11th. Friends and patients came, some of whom have been regular patients since the clinic first opened its doors at 69 Ballards Lane in 2012. We moved to this beautiful location in Stephens House & Gardens in 2018 and have enjoyed being in such a calm and peaceful surroundings. We have always said that visiting the garden is therapy in itself.

The clinic was the brainchild of Ghila Banin, who always dreamed of establishing a multi-bed acupuncture clinic since visiting China in 1995. She saw how hospitals and clinics in Nanjing treated many patients simultaneously in large rooms. Ghila and three other practitioners (Annetta Apol, Dev Shukla, and Monica Daswani) found clinic space on the high street of Finchley Central and opened in June 2012. From the very start, Wellpoint’s ethos was about making acupuncture accessible to as many people as possible, regardless of their economic circumstances.

Dev and Monica have since left, but Ghila and Annetta were joined by two other acupuncturists, Tess Lugos and Debbie Sheldon. We look forward to another 10 years of providing low-cost acupuncture to this part of north London.
